The Hatchet way

Mission

Hatchet was founded on the basis that Perth needed a solution to the growing number of diverse problems that local businesses were facing. These problems beg the question, “there must be a better way”.

We believe that software should make your life easier, not harder. That’s why we build precisely to the requirements of your project and avoid the one-size fits all approach, leaving you with a tailored experience that gives you more time to do what matters most, running your business.

As the years have progressed, our solutions have spanned to our client’s customers nationwide and internationally.

The team that gets it done

Behind the scenes

Daniel Gouvignon Director | Product Manager

Surfer, coder and web savant and Hatchet merch-man, Dan is a leading tech consultant who’s worked with big agencies and knows how to break the ice with clients. The team’s go-to design and front-end development expert, he’s not only meticulous about the code that makes things work, but is keen on how people interact with your users online.

Matt Hare Director of Cats

If we’re talking about complex back-end development, organised systems administration and leading web technologies, then Matt is your guy. PHP, MySQL, web apps, databases, hosting, software integrations, Laravel. You name it. Don’t know what they all mean? Matt does. The only things he loves more than IT are furry cats and his sons.

Glenn Forrest Senior Software Developer

Hailing from the mountains on New Zealand, Glenn and his beard have been doing this development thing for a number of years now. And he’s passionate – not only about development, but about strong and useable code. All of it. PHP, HTML, CSS, Vue, Laravel. He flexes his work between polishing what people see on the front-end, and the grunt of what you get to use on the back-end. The magic.

Tamara Eigenmann Junior Software Developer

Junior developer and office baker, Tamara is passionate about frontend development and using her skills to deliver user-friendly and visually appealing websites and software solutions. Driven by curiosity, she is constantly exploring new technologies and trends in web development. When not immersed in code, she can be found hitting the gym or shredding trails on her mountain bike.

Lewis Lusted Software Developer

While most of his time is spent developing the back-end using PHP and Laravel, he has a keen interest in working with front-end technologies such as Vue.js. When not spending time with his family, Lewis is always eager to keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and continues to improve his knowledge, such as learning mobile app development in his spare time.

Bradie Tilley Software Developer

An experienced, young web developer who loves all things web-related. Bradie’s primary expertise is with software and development in PHP and Laravel. With a deep passion for software, he is largely self-taught and contributes to open source projects whenever he can.

Anthony Atmaja Software Developer

Matt Boonlai Software Developer

With his passion for puzzles and innovation, Matt has been coding away for over a decade now, from the bygone days of ActionScripts to the new interactive world of modern web development. His life-long dedication for passion projects has honed him to be a versatile full stack developer. Working with his clients, Matt stops at nothing to bring the products of imagination to reality.

Misty Security / Office Companion

I work part-time in the office, venturing in some mornings & afternoons when I feel like it 🐶 My goal is to cause a ruckus and entertain staff when things are feeling a bit tight and love getting pats after comforting staff members whilst they work through difficult tasks. You might even be lucky to get me on the other end of the phone!
