The Project Outline
O-RAD, a leading radiology service provider for dental professionals, needed a digital solution to simplify its workflow and enhance user experience for its clinical clients. Their goal was to improve the efficiency of their reporting processes and provide a smooth, reliable experience for dentists ordering reports on their patients' CBCT scans. To support these needs, we developed two interconnected digital products for O-RAD: a custom WordPress website to showcase their services and a web application in Laravel and PHP to streamline their order and report management.
The website serves as O-RAD’s primary public platform, outlining its unique offerings in radiology. Meanwhile, the web application was designed as a robust tool that connects O-RAD staff with their clients. With two dedicated interfaces, the application facilitates order management on the admin side and provides a seamless order experience for dentists on the client side.
The Tech We Used
To meet O-RAD’s objectives, we built:
- Website: WordPress, providing flexibility for easy content updates and scalability as O-RAD’s services evolve.
- Web Application: Laravel and PHP were selected for their security, performance, and adaptability. This framework allows O-RAD’s staff to efficiently manage orders, reports, and client information, while dentists can securely place and track report orders.
The Outcome
The new platform has transformed O-RAD’s workflow. The admin side of the web application enables O-RAD’s radiology team to manage orders, reports, and client communications in a streamlined, user-friendly dashboard. By digitising and automating their processes, O-RAD has significantly reduced the time spent on administrative tasks, allowing them to focus on delivering high-quality radiological analysis. This boost in efficiency improves productivity and enables O-RAD to provide faster, more reliable service to their clients.
The Outcome for Dentists
For dentists, the web application offers a convenient and intuitive interface for placing report orders. They can quickly upload scans, monitor order status, and receive reports, all within the platform. This frictionless experience has enhanced dentists’ access to critical diagnostic information, empowering them to serve their patients better while saving valuable time.
