Doing it for the kids
When the opportunity to redo the website for such a good cause came along, we had to jump on it.
Safe4Kids needed to modernise their website and ensure a better user experience for the eCommerce aspect of their business.
Hatchet was able to redesign their website, updating the dated, fixed width site with a custom, mobile-friendly site that provided a much smoother viewing experience.
How we did it
A variety of eCommerce features were added that the previous site did not have. These included, but were not limited to:
- Filtering by category
- Product searching
- Improved SEO on products.
- AJAX add to cart
- Integration with the Stripe payment gateway
Much of this was possible by upgrading the site to use WordPress and WooCommerce, one of the most popular eCommerce technology stacks of recent years, and one of Hatchet’s strengths.
